About the Role
We’re looking for a Blockchain & DevOps Engineer to pioneer the tokenization of payments, identity, and loyalty across Aye’s biometric commerce platform. You’ll design and deploy blockchain-based systems that issue, manage, and secure digital tokens, while ensuring the microservices running on GCP are reliable, scalable, and secure.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of blockchain, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement tokenization frameworks for payments, loyalty points, and identity.
- Develop and audit smart contracts for token issuance, transfer, and redemption.
- Deploy and manage blockchain nodes (Ethereum, Polygon, or other Layer 2 solutions).
- Integrate blockchain components into microservices-based backend systems.
- Architect and automate CI/CD pipelines for blockchain and backend microservices.
- Manage secure, scalable Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure.
- Containerize and orchestrate services with Docker and Kubernetes on GCP.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize distributed microservices and blockchain nodes.
- Research and apply evolving standards in tokenization, cryptography, and digital identity.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Solidity, Rust, or Go for smart contract development.
- Experience designing or integrating tokenization systems (ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, or custom standards).
- Familiarity with secure key management, wallet integrations, and on/off-chain data flows.
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining microservices on GCP.
- Proficiency with GCP services (Kubernetes Engine, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Pub/Sub).
- CI/CD automation experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Layer 2 scaling solutions (zkRollups, Polygon, Arbitrum).
- Knowledge of PCI DSS or payment security compliance.
- Familiarity with GCP monitoring/logging (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Prometheus).
- Prior experience in fintech, payments, or loyalty-driven blockchain systems.
- Interest in designing microservices tokenomics and loyalty ecosystems.
