Business Development Manager (Regional Role)

 
About The Role

At Aye, we’re reimagining how people pay, earn, and connect, using face as the new universal identifier for payments, loyalty, and personalized experiences.

As our Business Development Manager, you’ll lead merchant acquisition across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines, introducing AyeFace, our face-powered payment and AI CRM solution, to merchants, retailers, and enterprise clients. You’ll play a key role in driving Aye’s commercial growth by identifying high-impact opportunities, closing enterprise SaaS deals, and scaling AyeFace adoption across key verticals such as retail, F&B, and lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development

  • Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines.
  • Identify key verticals, anchor accounts, and partnership opportunities to establish AyeFace presence and case studies.

Merchant Acquisition & Sales

  • Prospect, pitch, and close merchants to adopt AyeFace as their payment and customer engagement solution.
  • Lead the full B2B sales cycle from lead generation and demos to negotiation and contract closure.
  • Customize proposals and coordinate with product and technical teams to meet client requirements.

Onboarding & Activation

  • Work with the implementation and operations teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding and deployment.
  • Provide initial support and guidance to ensure successful adoption and early satisfaction.

Account Growth & Relationship Management

  • Build long-term merchant relationships, driving renewals, upsells, and cross-brand collaborations.
  • Act as the main commercial point of contact for key accounts.

Performance & Market Insights

  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline progress, and revenue forecasts.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy and product direction.
What We’re Looking For
  • Minimum 3+ years experience in B2B enterprise sales, business development, or account management, ideally in fintech, payments, POS, SaaS, or retail technology.
  • Demonstrated track record of closing enterprise SaaS or technology deals and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Deep understanding of the merchant ecosystem, digital payments, and point-of-sale environments.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, able to translate technical value into business impact.
  • Experience operating across multiple ASEAN markets; fluency in English required (Bahasa Melayu, Thai, or Tagalog a plus).
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and comfortable managing regional pipelines independently.
  • Passionate about innovation, data-driven engagement, and shaping the future of payments and retail.
