About the Role
Aye is seeking a Network Engineer to support the setting up of, developing, and maintaining system networks within an organisation or between organisations. The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and requires project site visits.
Requirements
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer System, Network Security Management or Engineering
- Professional networking certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, and JNCIE-ENT are desirable
- Experience in cloud-based systems such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Huawei Cloud are desirable
- Experience in Routing, Switching, Troubleshooting, Security and Traffic Optimisation
- Experience in working with a variety of network types such as LANs, MANs, WANs, WLAN, DAN, and VoIP
- Understand general-purpose programming languages such as Python, Java, Terraform
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, particularly to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong business acumen with strong interest in keeping up-to-date with current technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed written and verbal communication, able to articulate logically
- Fluent oral and written English
- Able to work under pressure or stress especially keep tracking on project timeline
- Able to solve problems independently, and work well within a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for network high-level and detailed design, implementation, operations, configuration, troubleshooting and issue resolution
- Install, configure, and support network equipment to maximise network efficiency and security
- Maximise network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Deliver customer projects that require analysis of situations and full understanding of the solution being implemented
- Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation
- Develop documentation as it relates to project requirements and assist with or develop presentations of technology solutions.
- Work in conjunction with project teams, developers, third-party entities, and client technical representatives to ensure smooth project delivery
- Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the organization innovate and excel
- Assist corporate team to present product value
- Ensure business objectives and user requirements are met to increase user engagement and retention
